We didn't invent sattu. Our grandmothers did. For generations, this humble roasted-gram flour fuelled farmers through long days in the field, no marketing, no additives, just real strength.

Somewhere, India traded that quiet wisdom for shiny packets full of things we can't pronounce.

“What if the healthiest food India ever made could travel as fast as we do?”

Rural Soul is run by two founders, a psychologist and a lawyer, and more importantly two mothers of toddlers. One of us reads people for a living and the other reads fine print. Between us, we couldn't find a single drink for our children that we didn't have to decode first. So we went back to the villages, back to the roots, and made one.

Sattu is a flour of roasted Bengal gram (chana), one of India's oldest plant-protein foods. It's naturally rich in protein and fibre, low on the glycaemic index, cooling for the body and easy to digest. Rural Soul sattu is 100% natural with no preservatives or additives.

How much protein does a glass of sattu have?

How do I prepare it?

Tear one sachet into 250 ml of chilled water, chaas or milk, stir for thirty seconds, and drink. No scoops, no measuring, one sachet is one glass.

Can children and elderly people drink sattu?

Yes, sattu is a gentle, naturally filling drink suitable for children aged 3+, working adults, new mothers and grandparents. It contains gram (chana), so anyone with a legume allergy should check with a doctor first.
